Job Description

Overview

  • Support the accounting department by managing accounts payable and financial processes with precision and efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with team members to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions.
  • Utilize advanced accounting software to process invoices, expense reports, and payments seamlessly.
  • Maintain organized financial records and support audits by providing required documentation.
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closings with attention to detail.
  • Contribute to special projects and process improvements within the accounting team.
  • Work onsite to ensure seamless collaboration and communication with the finance team.
  • Explore growth opportunities within the accounting field in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Process vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and corporate credit card transactions efficiently.
  • Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and financial records with accuracy.
  • Prepare and maintain financial reports and spreadsheets for internal use.
  • Support audits by providing requested documentation and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain organized filing systems for financial documents, both electronic and physical.
  • Collaborate with project managers to track job costs and payments effectively.
  • Assist in the implementation of process improvements and system upgrades.
  • Respond to inquiries from vendors and internal staff regarding billing and payment status promptly.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 1-4 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, preferably in construction.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage 300 and hh2.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work onsite in a collaborative team environment.
