Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Oversee billing, e-billing, and collections processes, ensuring compliance with client requirements and organizational standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with attorneys and staff to facilitate seamless billing workflows.
- Monitor aged accounts receivable balances, implementing strategies to improve cash flow and minimize write-offs.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify and execute process improvements and automation initiatives.
- Supervise billing supervisors and revenue management staff, providing guidance and support for professional development.
- Conduct performance appraisals, set objectives, and drive team engagement and retention strategies.
- Resolve billing disputes and collection issues in collaboration with attorneys and clients to ensure satisfaction.
- Ensure adherence to firm policies and client guidelines in all billing activities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in legal billing and collections management, with 10 years preferred.
- Proficiency in e-billing platforms such as Ebilling Hub or Bill-Blast, and familiarity with Aderant software.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities to make informed business decisions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage tasks effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Experience in team leadership, performance management, and fostering staff development.
