Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Supervise daily billing operations, providing expert guidance and support to the team.
- Resolve complex billing issues in collaboration with attorneys and managers, ensuring client satisfaction.
- Perform detailed prebill edits and generate accurate invoices using advanced billing software.
- Train and onboard new team members, ensuring seamless integration and adherence to best practices.
- Develop and implement corrective actions to optimize billing efficiency and accuracy.
- Enhance e-billing processes and address disputes with third-party vendors effectively.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify and implement process improvements and innovations.
- Provide constructive feedback during performance appraisals to foster team engagement and development.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of billing experience, with 1-3 years in a supervisory role within legal billing.
- Proficiency in billing software such as Aderant, Elite, or 3E is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of e-billing platforms and third-party vendor management.
- Exceptional organizational and analytical skills for effective problem-solving and decision-making.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other Windows-based software applications.
