Job Description

Overview

  • Lead financial operations and accounting for investment portfolios in a dynamic financial services firm.
  • Enhance reporting systems and operational workflows using advanced financial technologies.
  • Collaborate with senior executives to align financial strategies with organizational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering development and excellence.
  • Prepare insightful materials for board and audit committee reviews.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance scalability and efficiency in accounting workflows.
  • Support investment valuation efforts to maximize portfolio performance and returns.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage investment portfolio transactions, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Collaborate with portfolio management teams to model investment scenarios and modifications.
  • Lead the deployment of portfolio management software, ensuring data integrity.
  • Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with GAAP and other standards.
  • Develop templates and checklists for recurring financial activities to ensure consistency.
  • Analyze monthly financial results, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of close processes.
  • Maintain comprehensive process documentation and ensure adherence to SOX controls.
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration for financial planning and reporting.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required; CPA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in public accounting or similar roles.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Experience with SOX controls and compliance testing.
  • Proficiency in investment accounting and loan servicing is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 360 (Business Central) preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team development capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
