Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide leadership to managers and professional staff in surgical services.
- Develop long-term plans and strategies for clinical areas under supervision.
- Monitor progress and provide direction to achieve functional objectives.
- Analyze trends and implement changes to improve short-term results.
- Establish budgets and ensure financial performance accountability.
- Facilitate unit and organization-wide meetings and initiatives.
- Resolve physician/staff issues and foster collaborative relationships.
- Oversee performance improvement and regulatory readiness preparations.

Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Texas.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing management experience.
- At least 2 years of surgical nursing experience.
- Effective communication skills in English, additional languages desirable.
- Basic computer knowledge and proficiency.
- Ability to mentor and coach team members effectively.
- Commitment to evidence-based practices and shared governance principles.
