Overview

  • Play a pivotal role in operations at a distinguished hedge fund with a diverse investment portfolio and innovative trading strategies.
  • Collaborate with senior management to refine processes and drive operational excellence across multi-asset class trading.
  • Engage in trade booking, monitoring, and reconciliation tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily operations.
  • Support trade flow management, risk reporting, and implement robust operational controls.
  • Prepare detailed reports for investment and operations teams, maintaining high data integrity standards.
  • Contribute to interdepartmental projects focused on process automation and operational improvements.
  • Work in a hybrid environment, combining on-site collaboration with remote flexibility for optimal productivity.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Assist senior leadership in optimizing operational workflows to align with strategic business objectives.
  • Book and reconcile trades across equities, derivatives, FX, and commodities, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Monitor trading policies, position limits, and operational controls to uphold compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with traders and strategists to address portfolio-related issues and enhance performance.
  • Generate comprehensive reports for investment and operations teams, supporting informed decision-making.
  • Automate reconciliation processes and contribute to the development of advanced operational tools.
  • Support accounting, compliance, and operations teams with ad hoc projects and initiatives.
  • Drive innovation in trade flow automation and spreadsheet development to enhance efficiency.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required.
  • 2-7 years of experience in accounting or operations within hedge funds, banks, or financial administrators.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, including advanced functions such as macros, vlookups, and pivot tables.
  • Experience with shadow general ledger systems, preferably Geneva, is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills to manage complex operational tasks.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented with a collaborative mindset and strong work ethic.
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
