Job Description

Overview

  • Lead the Neuro Trauma ICU, ensuring exceptional patient care and operational efficiency in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement evidence-based practices and improve patient outcomes effectively.
  • Develop strategies to enhance patient satisfaction and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet dynamic patient care needs.
  • Manage departmental budgets, identifying opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Monitor and evaluate nursing practices, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate interdisciplinary care coordination to optimize patient outcomes and streamline processes.
  • Lead efforts to achieve healthcare benchmarks, accreditations, and designations through strategic initiatives.
  • Identify training needs and provide coaching to enhance staff performance and competencies.
  • Manage patient admissions and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and care delivery.
  • Implement evidence-based practices to improve patient safety and quality outcomes within the ICU.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance and ensure compliance with accreditation standards and regulations.
  • Support a culture of accountability and transparency in clinical and operational practices.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required, with active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
  • Minimum of 3 years of acute care leadership experience, preferably in ICU settings.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months of hire.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification required within 6 months of hire.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills to manage a multidisciplinary team effectively.
  • Proven ability to manage operating expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
