Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Conduct thorough pre-operative patient assessments and provide necessary education and preparation.
- Monitor patients in the PACU, assessing vital signs and recovery progress.
- Administer medications and IV fluids according to established protocols.
- Identify and address post-anesthesia complications, escalating concerns as needed.
- Collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and clinical staff for optimal patient care.
- Ensure accurate documentation of pre-operative and post-operative care activities.
- Maintain compliance with ambulatory surgery center policies and safety standards.
- Support continuous education and training initiatives within the team.
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred, but not mandatory.
- Experience in ASC, PACU, or Pre-Op settings preferred; new graduates welcome.
- Strong skills in patient assessment and recovery monitoring.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
