Overview

  • Supervise and lead the operating room nursing team, ensuring exceptional patient care and adherence to clinical standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement best practices and maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee resource allocation, including staffing, equipment, and supplies, for efficient operations.
  • Provide clinical supervision and guidance to nursing staff, fostering professional growth and development.
  • Ensure a safe and collaborative environment for patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Develop and implement emergency preparedness and recovery plans within the operating room team.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance care quality and operational efficiency.
  • Support investigations into patient concerns and implement solutions to improve outcomes.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage daily operations of the operating room, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate patient care delivery and resource allocation to optimize outcomes.
  • Monitor and enhance quality and safety standards within the department.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to nursing staff.
  • Facilitate team meetings and collaborative decision-making processes to address operational challenges.
  • Support strategic initiatives aimed at improving service quality and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including the Nursing Practice Act.
  • Maintain survey readiness and address issues to uphold accreditation standards.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required for this role.
  • Minimum two years of experience in patient care delivery is essential.
  • Registered Nurse License (California) and Basic Life Support certification are mandatory.
  • Preferred three years of experience in clinical healthcare or related field.
  • Proven leadership experience in a healthcare setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory standards in healthcare.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage multidisciplinary teams effectively.
