Job Description
Overview
- Support the organization's IT infrastructure by installing, configuring, and troubleshooting systems, networks, and software.
- Conduct training sessions for end users on system operations and functionality.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors and support teams to ensure seamless IT operations.
- Perform on-site analysis and resolution of hardware and software issues.
- Provide backup support for the Systems Administrator as required.
- Participate in long-term IT strategy planning and capacity development.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local IT standards and guidelines.
- Maintain and manage software licenses and media effectively.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Respond promptly to Service Desk calls and emails, addressing end user IT issues.
- Install, configure, test, and maintain hardware, software, and network devices.
- Create and manage computer images for user accounts and devices.
- Provide training to users on computer functionality in individual and group settings.
- Document hardware failures, repairs, installations, and removals comprehensively.
- Develop and implement corrective solutions for IT issues, including off-site repairs.
- Maintain regular communication with stakeholders regarding Service Desk tickets.
- Assist in the development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
Job Requirements
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in a relevant field required.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience in IT support and infrastructure management.
- Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and internet applications.
- Experience configuring networks for large user bases using TCP/IP protocols.
- Ability to install and configure shrink-wrap applications on PC operating systems.
- Strong analytical skills for diagnosing and resolving complex IT issues.
- Excellent communication skills for effective end-user training and support.
