Job Description

Overview

  • Support the organization's IT infrastructure by installing, configuring, and troubleshooting systems, networks, and software.
  • Conduct training sessions for end users on system operations and functionality.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors and support teams to ensure seamless IT operations.
  • Perform on-site analysis and resolution of hardware and software issues.
  • Provide backup support for the Systems Administrator as required.
  • Participate in long-term IT strategy planning and capacity development.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local IT standards and guidelines.
  • Maintain and manage software licenses and media effectively.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Respond promptly to Service Desk calls and emails, addressing end user IT issues.
  • Install, configure, test, and maintain hardware, software, and network devices.
  • Create and manage computer images for user accounts and devices.
  • Provide training to users on computer functionality in individual and group settings.
  • Document hardware failures, repairs, installations, and removals comprehensively.
  • Develop and implement corrective solutions for IT issues, including off-site repairs.
  • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders regarding Service Desk tickets.
  • Assist in the development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in a relevant field required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in IT support and infrastructure management.
  • Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and internet applications.
  • Experience configuring networks for large user bases using TCP/IP protocols.
  • Ability to install and configure shrink-wrap applications on PC operating systems.
  • Strong analytical skills for diagnosing and resolving complex IT issues.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective end-user training and support.
