Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Plan, implement, and evaluate personalized nursing care for assigned patients.
  • Supervise and mentor licensed and non-licensed staff to ensure effective care delivery.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient care plans.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to address concerns and provide support.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary to meet individual needs.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, standards, and organizational policies.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Active New York State RN licensure with valid BCLS certification.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven interpersonal skills to foster teamwork and collaboration.
  • Ability to work evening shifts, including every other weekend.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care in a unionized environment.
  • Willingness to complete a comprehensive four-week daytime training program.
  • Experience in supervising staff and managing patient care plans is preferred.
