Job Description

Overview

  • Lead diverse commercial construction projects, including remodels, renovations, and ground-up builds, ensuring quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
  • Manage projects valued up to $7M, overseeing budgets, schedules, and subcontractor performance from inception to completion.
  • Collaborate with owners, design teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to achieve project objectives effectively.
  • Direct estimating, scheduling, and bid preparation efforts to ensure accurate and efficient project planning.
  • Support on-site superintendents to maintain safety, quality, and compliance with project schedules and standards.
  • Monitor project progress, proactively addressing risks, changes, and cost impacts to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Maintain clear communication with all project partners, fostering alignment and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee multiple commercial construction projects across various locations, ensuring timely and successful execution.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, subcontractor performance, and overall execution to meet client expectations.
  • Coordinate with owners, design teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
  • Lead efforts in estimating, scheduling, and bid preparation to ensure accurate project planning.
  • Provide guidance to on-site superintendents to maintain safety, quality, and adherence to project schedules.
  • Track project progress, addressing risks, changes, and cost impacts proactively to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Ensure clear and consistent communication with all project partners to foster collaboration and alignment.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction.
  • Proven expertise in managing remodels, renovations, and ground-up construction projects valued up to $7M.
  • Experience in retail, banking, big box, or open-environment construction projects is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills to manage complex projects effectively.
  • Proficiency in estimating, scheduling, and contract administration is essential.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required to oversee progress and ensure quality.
