Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and review individual tax returns (Form 1040) with accuracy and compliance.
  • Analyze financial documents, including W-2s, 1099s, and investment income.
  • Identify and apply tax deductions and credits to optimize savings for clients.
  • Prepare Schedule C returns for self-employed individuals and gig workers.
  • Input tax data and electronically file returns using professional software.
  • Communicate with clients to clarify financial details and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and state tax requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet high-volume tax season demands.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) or equivalent education.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in individual tax preparation.
  • Proficiency in tax software such as UltraTax, ProSeries, or Drake.
  • Strong knowledge of Form 1040 and related schedules (A, B, C, D).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in tax preparation.
  • Ability to work on-site in a collaborative team environment.
  • Effective communication skills for client interaction and documentation.
