Job Description

Overview

  • Lead data operations within a dynamic organization, ensuring data accuracy and integrity across systems and platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows and support strategic decision-making processes.
  • Maintain and enhance master data quality, including security and issuer records, to drive operational efficiency.
  • Support data onboarding, integration, and reporting to improve portfolio transparency and organizational insights.
  • Develop expertise in data governance, process optimization, and advanced analytics within a fast-paced environment.
  • Analyze complex datasets to provide actionable insights and improve decision-making processes.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of tools for data classification and deduplication.
  • Engage in continuous learning to stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage and validate security master, issuer master, and reference data for investments and stakeholders.
  • Define and implement configuration rules for new funds, hierarchies, and portfolio records.
  • Investigate and resolve complex data issues promptly, ensuring reliability and accuracy.
  • Conduct data checks and corrections across workflows to uphold data integrity.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to understand data requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Participate in onboarding activities, seamlessly setting up new entities across systems.
  • Support system integrations and migrations to ensure smooth transitions and data consistency.
  • Analyze large datasets and provide ad hoc reporting to meet organizational needs.
  • Develop tools for identifying, classifying, and deduplicating master data elements effectively.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Organizational Sciences, or a related field.
  • 3–6+ years of experience in financial services, asset management, or data management roles.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel functions, including VLOOKUPs, macros, and pivot tables.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and a willingness to expand technical skillsets.
  • Familiarity with private loans, CLOs, private equity, and fixed income instruments preferred.
  • Experience with security data models within platforms such as Aladdin, Geneva, or Sentry is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to translate business requirements into data solutions.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across diverse teams.
  • Self-driven, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
