Job Description

Overview

  • Contribute to strategic planning and tax analysis for a diverse real estate portfolio.
  • Support the Chief Financial Officer in financial initiatives and compliance workflows.
  • Collaborate with external advisors on tax planning, estate planning, and charitable giving strategies.
  • Assist in asset management tasks including property analysis, budgeting, and investor reporting.
  • Develop financial models and perform scenario analysis for strategic decision-making.
  • Engage with joint-venture partners, lenders, and legal counsel to ensure project success.
  • Maintain and enhance internal reporting templates and asset management systems.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Coordinate tax compliance workflows with third-party accountants and ensure timely execution of filings.
  • Prepare supporting schedules and summary materials for financial reporting and analysis.
  • Review and interpret financial statements and tax documents for accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist in managing project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow analyses.
  • Prepare investment memoranda and maintain asset management reports.
  • Support construction activities and coordinate with property managers and consultants.
  • Perform analyses of accounting reports and real estate metrics to identify opportunities.
  • Collaborate with external advisors on strategic tax and estate planning initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics from a recognized institution.
  • CPA designation or 1–2 years of public accounting experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for reporting and analysis tasks.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in portfolio reporting and liquidity planning.
  • Ability to interpret legal documents and financial statements accurately.
  • Knowledge of real estate financial concepts such as IRR, NPV, and cap rates.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience in asset management and investor reporting is advantageous.
