Job Description

Overview

  • Lead strategic initiatives to enhance healthcare technology systems and processes within the organization.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align technology solutions with business objectives and operational strategies.
  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of critical healthcare information systems.
  • Maintain knowledge of emerging trends in healthcare technology to incorporate innovative solutions.
  • Drive process improvements to optimize application services delivery across multiple projects.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of information technology professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Support resource planning and prioritization for effective project execution.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Monitor and report operational updates to support efficient resource utilization and planning.
  • Analyze current systems and procedures to develop optimized workflows and designs.
  • Engage proactively with business units to support strategic goals and objectives.
  • Establish end-user support service levels and report metrics to drive improvements.
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor team members to deliver high-quality services.
  • Promote associate development through counseling, teaching, and role modeling techniques.
  • Provide guidance on interpreting and executing organizational standards and policies.
  • Travel and work outside normal hours as required for critical implementations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT leadership roles, with 7+ years preferred.
  • Proficiency in healthcare information systems, with Epic experience strongly preferred.
  • ITIL certification and experience in support and delivery processes preferred.
  • Strong financial skills for budgeting and managing departmental budgets.
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Adaptable and collaborative approach to resource management and organizational goals.
