Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Oversee daily ICU operations, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and protocols.
- Mentor nursing staff, fostering professional development and excellence in patient care.
- Develop departmental goals aligned with hospital strategic plans and patient care objectives.
- Manage personnel activities, including recruitment, evaluations, and performance management.
- Prepare and oversee departmental budgets, staffing plans, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care delivery.
- Ensure staff compliance with education, competency, and certification requirements.
- Participate in hospital supervision, safety initiatives, and performance improvement programs.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; current state nursing license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Certification in specialty area or Nurse Manager Leadership (CNML) preferred within three years of hire.
- Minimum two years of acute care nursing experience; management experience preferred.
- Strong clinical skills and ability to function effectively as a staff RN.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective team collaboration.
