Job Description

Overview

  • Drive the development and lifecycle management of innovative automation products, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and market demands.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to define technical specifications and product features that meet customer needs.
  • Develop and execute product roadmaps, business cases, and go-to-market strategies for new product introductions.
  • Support sales and application engineering teams with tools, training, and technical expertise to enhance customer engagement.
  • Create compelling messaging, positioning, and collateral to effectively communicate product value propositions.
  • Identify target customers, pilot programs, and opportunities for product launches and market expansion.
  • Monitor product performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize outcomes.
  • Champion usability, serviceability, and technical excellence in product development and releases.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage the complete product lifecycle, from concept to commercialization and ongoing support.
  • Analyze customer requirements, market trends, and competitive landscapes to inform product strategies.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop effective product positioning and promotional strategies.
  • Define application opportunities and competitive advantages for new solutions in the market.
  • Contribute to proposals, presentations, and bid responses as a subject matter expert in automation technologies.
  • Provide leadership in motion control architectures and programming requirements to drive technical innovation.
  • Enhance customer success through comprehensive training programs and detailed technical documentation.
  • Travel up to 25% to engage with customers and oversee on-site implementations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in product management or related roles; 5 years preferred.
  • Strong technical expertise in servo drives, motors, and automation components.
  • Familiarity with servo sizing, tuning, and IEC 61131 programming environments is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of successful product launches and lifecycle management.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
  • Experience with Python programming is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% for customer visits and site presence.
