Job Description

Overview

  • Lead and manage imaging operations within a healthcare organization, ensuring efficient workflows and compliance with industry standards.
  • Supervise and support a team of 40+ employees across various imaging modalities.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align departmental goals with organizational objectives.
  • Oversee budgeting and financial planning for imaging operations, including FTE and NPE budgets.
  • Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to ensure high standards of patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with union agreements and manage employee relations effectively.
  • Support professional development and training for imaging staff to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain and update imaging equipment and technology to optimize operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise daily operations of imaging services, ensuring adherence to protocols and standards.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, manage hiring processes, and oversee employee terminations.
  • Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures to improve efficiency and compliance.
  • Monitor and manage budgets, including staffing and non-personnel expenses.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of imaging services.
  • Address and resolve operational challenges, including staffing and equipment issues.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
  • Promote a culture of safety and quality within the imaging department.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience in diagnostic imaging.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a radiologic technologist or related role.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience in radiology operations.
  • Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, or Radiologic Technologist.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, finance, and project management methodologies.
  • Experience working within unionized environments and managing diverse teams.
  • Strong knowledge of imaging equipment and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage and inspire teams effectively.
