Overview
- Lead and manage imaging operations within a healthcare organization, ensuring efficient workflows and compliance with industry standards.
- Supervise and support a team of 40+ employees across various imaging modalities.
- Collaborate with senior management to align departmental goals with organizational objectives.
- Oversee budgeting and financial planning for imaging operations, including FTE and NPE budgets.
- Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to ensure high standards of patient care.
- Ensure compliance with union agreements and manage employee relations effectively.
- Support professional development and training for imaging staff to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Maintain and update imaging equipment and technology to optimize operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Supervise daily operations of imaging services, ensuring adherence to protocols and standards.
- Conduct performance evaluations, manage hiring processes, and oversee employee terminations.
- Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures to improve efficiency and compliance.
- Monitor and manage budgets, including staffing and non-personnel expenses.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of imaging services.
- Address and resolve operational challenges, including staffing and equipment issues.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
- Promote a culture of safety and quality within the imaging department.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience in diagnostic imaging.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a radiologic technologist or related role.
- At least 3 years of supervisory experience in radiology operations.
- Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, or Radiologic Technologist.
- Proficiency in budgeting, finance, and project management methodologies.
- Experience working within unionized environments and managing diverse teams.
- Strong knowledge of imaging equipment and technologies.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage and inspire teams effectively.
