Job Description

Overview

  • Join a prominent financial services firm as a Financial Reporting Analyst, contributing to compliance and accuracy in financial reporting processes.
  • Prepare and analyze SEC filings including 8-K, 10-Q, and 10-K, ensuring adherence to GAAP and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data, supporting strategic decision-making and reporting accuracy.
  • Engage in stock administration tasks, including Form 4 filings and dividend processing, maintaining regulatory compliance.
  • Support audit processes by providing documentation and analyses, ensuring compliance with SOX 404 requirements.
  • Prepare comprehensive reporting packages for executive management and stakeholders, enhancing transparency and decision-making.
  • Perform competitive peer analyses and ad-hoc financial analyses to support organizational objectives.
  • Contribute to maintaining compliance with SEC and NYSE rules, enhancing the firm's regulatory readiness.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and manage workpapers and analyses supporting financial statement disclosures in SEC filings.
  • Coordinate external press releases and assist investor relations functions to ensure consistent communication.
  • Complete quarterly disclosure checklists to ensure compliance with GAAP and SEC reporting standards.
  • Maintain accurate share count schedules and oversee stock administration responsibilities.
  • Provide analytical support for financial reporting and regulatory compliance tasks.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather data for financial reporting purposes.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls over financial reporting and compliance standards.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in accounting or financial reporting.
  • Preferred experience in a large-tier accounting firm or public company.
  • Proficiency in GAAP and internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are critical.
  • Ability to work on-site and collaborate with teams effectively.
