Job Description

Overview

  • Provide specialized accounting services for private equity and hedge fund portfolios managed by the client.
  • Ensure accuracy in transaction posting, journal entries, and financial reporting processes.
  • Collaborate with teams to maintain compliance and optimize accounting workflows effectively.
  • Utilize advanced accounting tools to enhance operational efficiency and reporting standards.
  • Support audits and tax processes with comprehensive financial documentation and analysis.
  • Adapt to dynamic business needs and contribute to impactful accounting projects.
  • Develop expertise in accounting software and tools for optimal performance.
  • Ensure timely execution of capital calls and distributions with precision.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage capital calls and distributions for investment portfolios with accuracy.
  • Prepare month-end close work papers and reconciliations to ensure financial precision.
  • Track and record monthly valuations for hedge fund investments consistently.
  • Initiate and process wire transfers with proper documentation and verification.
  • Reconcile trading activities and review settlements for accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting year-end audits effectively.
  • Collaborate with teams to address technical accounting details and improve processes.
  • Handle ad hoc requests and projects with professionalism and adaptability.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA qualification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience with private equity or hedge funds.
  • Proficiency in accounting software; experience with Investran is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills to meet timely deliverables.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively across teams and levels.
  • Detailed analytical skills and aptitude for process improvement initiatives.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, hybrid work environment with adaptability.
