Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop structural designs and calculations for buildings using various materials like steel, concrete, and wood.
  • Ensure designs comply with local and national building codes and standards.
  • Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and specialized software for drafting and structural modeling.
  • Collaborate with project managers to align designs with project goals and timelines.
  • Conduct site inspections to evaluate conditions and provide actionable insights.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with specifications.
  • Engage with clients and contractors to maintain strong professional relationships.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) with 5+ years of experience in structural engineering.
  • Proficiency in structural design software like RAM Structural Systems, Enercalc, and STAADPro.
  • Knowledge of building codes and standards such as IBC, ASCE, ACI, and AISC.
  • Experience in designing and detailing steel, wood, concrete, and masonry structures.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit for drafting and modeling purposes.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
