Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments, educating patients and preparing them for surgical procedures.
- Monitor patients in the PACU, assessing vital signs and recovery progress post-anesthesia.
- Administer medications and IV fluids in accordance with established protocols and patient needs.
- Identify and address post-anesthesia complications, escalating concerns to appropriate clinical staff.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and clinical staff to ensure optimal patient care.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all pre-operative and post-operative care activities.
- Ensure compliance with ambulatory surgery center policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in ongoing education and training initiatives to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required; BSN preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience in PACU, Pre-Op, or ambulatory surgery settings preferred; entry-level candidates encouraged to apply.
- Strong skills in patient assessment, recovery monitoring, and clinical decision-making.
