Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments, educating patients and preparing them for surgical procedures.
  • Monitor patients in the PACU, assessing vital signs and recovery progress post-anesthesia.
  • Administer medications and IV fluids in accordance with established protocols and patient needs.
  • Identify and address post-anesthesia complications, escalating concerns to appropriate clinical staff.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and clinical staff to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all pre-operative and post-operative care activities.
  • Ensure compliance with ambulatory surgery center policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training initiatives to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required; BSN preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience in PACU, Pre-Op, or ambulatory surgery settings preferred; entry-level candidates encouraged to apply.
  • Strong skills in patient assessment, recovery monitoring, and clinical decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality care and maintaining patient safety standards.
