Overview

- Administer medications, perform diagnostic tests, and assist in clinical procedures.
- Ensure examination rooms are prepared and equipment is sterilized according to health standards.
- Accurately document patient information in electronic medical records systems.
- Work independently while adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Provide direct patient care within the scope of certifications and training.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Conduct patient assessments, including obtaining vital signs and discussing symptoms.
- Perform diagnostic screenings and support clinical procedures as required.
- Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling and maintaining patient records.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to enhance patient care and clinic operations.
- Assist in value-based care initiatives, including accurate coding and documentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment to support efficient operations.
- Provide bilingual support, if applicable, to improve patient communication.
Job Requirements
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree or equivalent educational background.
- Completion of a recognized Medical Assistant training program or certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical assistant role; 5 years preferred.
- Current CPR certification and compliance with tuberculosis screening protocols.
- Proficiency in administering medications, performing phlebotomy, and conducting diagnostic tests.
- Knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and patient experience standards.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
- Ability to work on-site Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
