Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Oversee month-end close processes, including payroll, accounts receivable, and accruals.
• Prepare and interpret financial reports to provide insights into organizational performance.
• Reconcile general ledger and sub-ledger accounts with precision and timeliness.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting principles.
• Investigate discrepancies in financial entries and implement corrective measures.
• Prepare federal, state, and local tax reports and returns accurately.
• Collaborate with auditors to address audit requests and ensure compliance.
• Leverage advanced Excel functions for comprehensive financial analysis and reporting.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in senior or general ledger accounting roles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics and advanced Excel functionalities.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience in the healthcare industry is advantageous but not required.
• Ability to thrive in an on-site, high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Completion of an Excel assessment and preparatory questions is mandatory.
• Reports directly to the Controller with significant hands-on responsibilities.
