Overview

  • Lead and manage nursing research programs, promoting evidence-based practices and fostering a culture of inquiry and innovation.
  • Mentor and support nursing staff in developing and executing impactful research initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance research capacity and drive scholarly excellence.
  • Coordinate logistics for research activities, ensuring adherence to protocols and ethical guidelines.
  • Facilitate dissemination of research findings through professional presentations, publications, and forums.
  • Support efforts for Magnet® designation by aligning research activities with nursing excellence standards.
  • Develop and deliver educational programs on research methodologies and evidence-based practices.
  • Monitor trends in nursing research to ensure compliance and promote best practices within the organization.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Establish research priorities and drive initiatives to strengthen nursing research infrastructure.
  • Assist in developing research protocols, IRB submissions, and regulatory documentation.
  • Coordinate logistics for research activities, including recruitment, data collection, and reporting.
  • Mentor nurses on research methodologies, data interpretation, and dissemination of findings.
  • Facilitate journal clubs, research workshops, and bedside inquiry initiatives to enhance staff engagement.
  • Support preparation and submission of Magnet documentation, including empirical outcomes and research reports.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to design and implement evidence-based practice projects.
  • Effectively communicate research progress and outcomes to stakeholders and organizational leadership.

Job Requirements

  • Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) required; Registered Nurse (RN) licensure mandatory.
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience; leadership and research experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in research methodologies, IRB processes, and statistical analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of Magnet Recognition Program® standards and components strongly preferred.
  • Certification in Research (e.g., CCRA, CCRC, CCRP, or ACRP-CP) is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and analytical skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data management software required.
