Overview

  • Perform advanced CT and X-ray imaging procedures, ensuring precision and patient safety in a collaborative healthcare environment.
  • Apply independent judgment and technical expertise to deliver accurate diagnostic imaging services.
  • Administer contrast agents and perform invasive procedures with adherence to safety protocols.
  • Provide compassionate care to patients across all age groups, from newborns to elderly individuals.
  • Contribute to a professional and supportive healthcare team, fostering collaboration and excellence.
  • Engage in training and mentoring opportunities to support the development of new staff and students.
  • Maintain compliance with infection control, radiation safety, and departmental standards.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Operate CT and X-ray equipment, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and safety protocols.
  • Perform venipuncture and administer contrast media, ensuring patient safety and accurate documentation.
  • Maintain comprehensive patient records and utilize RIS systems for efficient data management.
  • Assess patients and prepare them for imaging procedures, addressing concerns and providing education.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of workspace to support operational efficiency.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to team initiatives and discussions.
  • Perform non-technical duties, including stocking supplies and assisting in patient transportation.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and imaging quality.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Science (AS) degree and completion of an accredited ARRT program.
  • Current ARRT certification and proficiency in CT and X-ray imaging procedures.
  • Preferred one year of experience in CT and X-ray imaging.
  • Ability to perform venipuncture and administer contrast media safely and effectively.
  • Basic computer skills for record management and equipment operation.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently.
  • Commitment to infection control, radiation safety, and patient care standards.
  • Strong reasoning, communication, and teamwork skills to excel in a collaborative environment.
