Overview
- Support private credit and alternative investment operations with a focus on loan-based financings, preferred equity, and bespoke structures.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers, account managers, and external service providers to ensure accurate settlement and reporting of investments.
- Provide operational coverage for trade settlement, funding coordination, and cash movements in private and originated loan trades.
- Interpret credit agreements and operationalize key terms, including accrual mechanics, payment schedules, and maturities.
- Enhance operational controls and facilitate complex financial transactions and process improvement initiatives.
- Engage with vendors and participate in special projects to support strategic initiatives and service enhancements.
- Educate internal partners and service providers on deal mechanics and structuring for alternative investments.
- Support bespoke loan financings and separately managed accounts with operational expertise and precision.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage settlement oversight and lifecycle management of private and originated loan trades, including loan-based financing and preferred equity.
- Provide oversight for outsourced service providers handling back-office functions such as settlements and reconciliations.
- Review and interpret credit agreements to operationalize terms and respond to detailed loan-level inquiries.
- Support loan amendments, restructurings, share conversions, and other non-standard lifecycle events with operational execution.
- Partner with account managers to address trade booking inquiries and reporting needs for insurance and reinsurance investments.
- Collaborate with the finance team on cash management requirements related to fund development and deal facilitation.
- Enhance controls for alternative transactions and manage cross-functional process improvement projects.
- Liaise with vendors, custodians, and banking institutions to support service upgrades and new product solutions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in finance, economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of operational experience in private and direct originated debt/equity investments.
- Strong knowledge of loan-based products, including term loans, revolvers, and privately originated debt/equity.
- Hands-on experience with credit agreements, loan setup, interest calculations, amendments, and restructurings.
- Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and familiarity with fund accounting principles.
- Exposure to alternative investments, financing arrangements, and private equity fund frameworks.
- Proven ability to manage relationships with custody and accounting service providers.
- Strong communication skills to articulate deal structuring and operational requirements effectively.
