Overview

  • Contribute to payroll operations for a mid-sized organization, ensuring compliance with multi-state regulations and accuracy in payroll processing.
  • Collaborate with a dedicated team to manage payroll tasks, including equity payroll and international payroll support.
  • Utilize Workday payroll systems to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Engage in audits and surveys to maintain compliance and improve payroll practices.
  • Support employees with payroll and tax-related inquiries, ensuring clarity and resolution.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of multi-state reporting and withholding requirements.
  • Collaborate on HR and payroll-related projects, adapting to changing priorities and directions.
  • Work in a hybrid environment with opportunities for professional growth and development.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Process semi-monthly, equity, and off-cycle payrolls for approximately 670 employees across multiple states.
  • Assist with international payroll operations and provide backup support to the payroll team.
  • Address payroll tax issues and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Support audits and surveys related to payroll and HR functions.
  • Collaborate with HR to manage payroll-related projects and initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to employees regarding payroll and tax matters.
  • Ensure accurate reconciliation of W-2 forms and compliance with withholding requirements.
  • Utilize Workday systems to enhance payroll processing and reporting capabilities.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years of experience in payroll processing, with multi-state expertise preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Workday payroll systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of payroll processing for equity and multi-state withholding requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally with employees and stakeholders.
  • Experience in handling payroll audits and surveys effectively.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in project priorities and directions.
