Overview

  • Lead fund accounting operations for a dynamic investment firm, managing private equity vehicles and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic growth initiatives and optimize financial processes.
  • Oversee capital activities, NAV calculations, and financial reporting while maintaining institutional standards.
  • Play a pivotal role in enhancing fund infrastructure and operational workflows.
  • Contribute to governance, compliance, and regulatory reporting processes within a fast-paced environment.
  • Participate in strategic initiatives and process improvements to drive operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Review and manage capital calls, distributions, and financial statements prepared by fund administrators.
  • Monitor fund cash activities, including credit facilities and wire transfers, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Support limited partner requests and deliver comprehensive investor reporting.
  • Assist with compliance and regulatory reporting processes, adhering to firm policies and industry standards.
  • Develop documentation, procedures, and best practices to enhance fund operations.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with investment professionals and senior leadership to support the firm's financial strategies.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in private equity or private markets fund accounting.
  • Proficiency in closed-end fund structures, capital calls, distributions, and waterfall calculations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience with fund administrators, asset managers, or Big Four firms preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results.
