Overview

  • Deliver impactful speech and language therapy services to students with diverse communication needs, fostering their academic and social success.
  • Engage with students from preschool to middle school, addressing speech, pragmatic language, and autism-related communication challenges.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create individualized, effective treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs.
  • Utilize evidence-based techniques, including augmentative systems, Visualizing and Verbalizing, and Social Thinking strategies.
  • Work in a supportive environment that prioritizes student success and professional growth.
  • Enjoy smaller caseloads, allowing for more personalized therapy sessions and impactful results.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify speech and language disorders and develop targeted intervention plans.
  • Implement individualized therapy sessions focusing on speech, language, and pragmatic communication skills.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and professionals to support student progress and development.
  • Maintain detailed records of therapy sessions, assessments, and student progress for effective tracking.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss student needs and share insights for improved strategies.
  • Stay informed on advancements in speech therapy practices and integrate them into your work.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on effective communication techniques and strategies.

Job Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech Pathology, Speech and Hearing, or related field.
  • Valid Speech License or eligibility at the time of hire.
  • Experience with augmentative systems, Visualizing and Verbalizing, and Social Thinking techniques preferred.
  • Proficient in diagnosing and treating speech and language disorders across diverse student populations.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork with multidisciplinary professionals.
