Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Supervise daily imaging services operations, ensuring adherence to protocols and standards.
- Conduct performance evaluations, manage hiring processes, and oversee employee development.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance departmental efficiency and compliance.
- Monitor budgets, including staffing and non-personnel expenses, ensuring fiscal responsibility.
- Coordinate with other departments to integrate imaging services seamlessly into patient care workflows.
- Address operational challenges, including staffing and equipment issues, with effective solutions.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the imaging department.
- Ensure compliance with union agreements and manage employee relations effectively.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in diagnostic imaging or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in radiologic technology or a related role.
- At least 3 years of supervisory experience in imaging operations.
- Certification in Nuclear Medicine, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, or Radiologic Technology preferred.
- Proficiency in budgeting, financial planning, and project management methodologies.
- Experience managing teams in unionized environments is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of imaging equipment, technologies, and industry standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills to inspire and manage teams effectively.
