  • Lead a team of professionals across diverse imaging modalities, fostering collaboration and excellence.
  • Oversee departmental budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation to support operational goals.
  • Implement quality assurance programs to maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align imaging services with organizational objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards in imaging operations.
  • Support professional development initiatives to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
  • Oversee maintenance and upgrades of imaging equipment to optimize efficiency and performance.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise daily imaging services operations, ensuring adherence to protocols and standards.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, manage hiring processes, and oversee employee development.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance departmental efficiency and compliance.
  • Monitor budgets, including staffing and non-personnel expenses, ensuring fiscal responsibility.
  • Coordinate with other departments to integrate imaging services seamlessly into patient care workflows.
  • Address operational challenges, including staffing and equipment issues, with effective solutions.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the imaging department.
  • Ensure compliance with union agreements and manage employee relations effectively.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in diagnostic imaging or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in radiologic technology or a related role.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience in imaging operations.
  • Certification in Nuclear Medicine, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, or Radiologic Technology preferred.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, financial planning, and project management methodologies.
  • Experience managing teams in unionized environments is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of imaging equipment, technologies, and industry standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills to inspire and manage teams effectively.
