Overview

  • Lead preconstruction initiatives for diverse real estate projects, ensuring strategic alignment and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to refine project plans and achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Develop comprehensive cost estimates, schedules, and resource allocations for complex developments.
  • Oversee design reviews, value engineering, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Provide strategic guidance to enhance project feasibility and profitability.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to drive project success.
  • Ensure seamless transition from preconstruction to construction phases, maintaining project integrity.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Coordinate preconstruction processes, including budgeting, scheduling, and procurement planning.
  • Evaluate design documents for constructability and cost efficiency, ensuring project viability.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and consultants to refine project specifications.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships to optimize resources.
  • Monitor adherence to project timelines and budgets, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Support the integration of adaptive reuse and mixed-use development strategies.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in preconstruction or related roles; 10 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation, scheduling, and project management tools.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively in dynamic environments.
  • Experience with adaptive reuse and mixed-use developments is highly advantageous.
