Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to support inspection, testing, and quality assurance activities across manufacturing and assembly operations. This role is ideal for a technically skilled professional who takes pride in precision and is committed to maintaining high standards in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of machined parts and assemblies using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM, etc.) 
  • Verify conformance to engineering drawings, blueprints, and tolerances, including GD&T requirements 
  • Document inspection results, identify non-conformances, and initiate containment or quarantine procedures as needed 
  • Conduct first article inspections (FAI) and support incoming and supplier quality activities 
  • Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment to ensure measurement accuracy and reliability 
  • Partner with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement 
  • Track and report on quality metrics (e.g., defect rates, yield) using basic data analysis tools 

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field preferred 
  • 4+ years of experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing or assembly environment 
  • Strong proficiency with precision measurement tools and interpreting technical drawings/blueprints 
  • Working knowledge of GD&T and quality standards such as ISO 9001 and SPC 
  • High attention to detail with strong problem-solving and analytical skills 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or similar certification 
  • Experience with CMM operation and/or programming (e.g., PC-DMIS) 
  • Familiarity with non-conformance reporting (NCR), material review boards (MRB), and corrective action processes (CAR)
