Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Oversee GAAP and statutory accounting for complex investment portfolios, including real estate loans and partnerships.
- Evaluate CECL model results and lead audit processes to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Lead and develop a team of accountants, promoting a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Collaborate across departments to streamline processes and achieve superior results.
- Maintain SOX controls documentation and assess operational risks effectively.
- Provide detailed analyses for new investment opportunities and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies through diligent oversight.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational goals and objectives.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA certification required.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, with expertise in investment accounting.
- Proficiency in GAAP and statutory accounting standards, including CECL and SOX compliance.
- Experience with Oracle Financials, TM1, Black Rock, and PAM systems preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex accounting challenges.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Proven leadership skills in managing teams and driving projects to successful completion.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
