Overview

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Develop and maintain relationships with investment teams, joint venture partners, and property managers.
• Conduct financial due diligence for acquisitions, ensuring thorough analysis and compliance.
• Reconcile and analyze differences between historical cost, tax, and fair value accounting.
• Review monthly operating results for fund consolidation and pricing, addressing discrepancies proactively.
• Prepare and review financial statements and performance metrics for real estate investments.
• Engage with external auditors and tax practitioners to ensure compliance and accurate reporting.
• Create and present materials for business management and investor communications.
• Supervise outsourced accounting staff, ensuring quality and timeliness of deliverables.
• Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes and reporting standards.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
• CPA certification with 8+ years of experience in real estate accounting.
• Extensive knowledge of GAAP and fair value reporting standards.
• Proven expertise in managing complex real estate investment structures and agreements.
• Strong analytical skills for evaluating financial statements and performance metrics.
• Exceptional communication skills for stakeholder engagement and reporting.
