Overview
- Lead the Maternal and Child Services department, driving excellence in patient care and operational performance.
- Shape strategic initiatives to enhance maternal and child health outcomes and service line growth.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement evidence-based practices and family-centered care models.
- Champion health equity and community engagement through innovative outreach programs.
- Oversee financial management, including budgeting, resource allocation, and cost optimization strategies.
- Develop and mentor a high-performing nursing team, fostering professional growth and accountability.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements to maintain operational integrity.
- Represent the department in community health initiatives and professional coalitions.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide leadership to Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby, NICU, Lactation, and Outreach services.
- Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with organizational and community health objectives.
- Monitor clinical operations to ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered care delivery.
- Drive performance improvement initiatives using data-driven methodologies and metrics.
- Manage departmental budgets, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency.
- Recruit, develop, and retain nursing staff, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to enhance care coordination and outcomes.
- Lead community outreach programs to address maternal health disparities and promote wellness.
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of California.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience; 8 years preferred.
- Expertise in Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby, and NICU nursing practices.
- Proven ability in budget management and quality improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of California perinatal regulations and CMS standards.
- Certification in nursing leadership or maternal/child specialty is highly desirable.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills.
