Overview

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to clients, building strong relationships and ensuring alignment with their vision and goals.
  • Oversee project scope, schedule, staffing, and financial outcomes, driving efficiency and success.
  • Mentor and develop team members, cultivating a culture of professional growth and high performance.
  • Contribute to refining organizational practices, enhancing project management standards and processes.
  • Engage in business development activities, including client pursuits and proposal presentations.
  • Travel as necessary to support client relationships and ensure successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage project scope, schedule, staffing, and financial performance to achieve successful outcomes and client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with architectural and engineering teams to ensure alignment with design intent and execution strategies.
  • Identify and address project risks, changes, and opportunities proactively to maintain progress and quality.
  • Lead contract negotiations, consultant coordination, and fee management to optimize project results.
  • Mentor and coach project managers and team members, fostering professional growth and high-performance teams.
  • Contribute to the development of project management tools, processes, and standards within the organization.
  • Support business development efforts through client engagement, proposal creation, and strategic pursuits.
  • Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions to gather insights and inform project strategies effectively.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field is required.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP or CCM are preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience managing architectural or A/E projects; 10 years preferred.
  • Proven expertise in project financial management, contracts, and client relationship building.
  • Strong understanding of project delivery methods, risk management, and consultant coordination.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead client conversations effectively.
  • Ability to travel as needed to support client relationships and project execution.
  • Experience mentoring and developing high-performing project teams is highly valued.
