Overview

  • Oversee grants and contracts operations, ensuring compliance with policies and donor regulations while driving strategic initiatives.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the grants and contracts team, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
  • Manage financial reporting, invoicing, reconciliations, and grant closeout processes with precision and timeliness.
  • Analyze grant awards to ensure proper budgeting and accounting of expenses, optimizing resource allocation.
  • Prepare monthly cash flow projections and oversee collection activities to maintain financial health.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to refine systems and processes, enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Build and maintain relationships with funders and external partners to support organizational goals.
  • Assist with audits and compliance reviews, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise and guide the grants and contracts team, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Coordinate cross-departmental collaboration to streamline processes and enhance communication.
  • Develop and implement strategies for grants and contracts management, setting measurable success metrics.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation and submission of financial reports to funders.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in grants and contracts management, nonprofit experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools, with strong data interpretation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clarity and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Experience in supervisory roles, with a track record of team leadership and development.
