Overview

  • Lead financial operations for a prestigious media organization, ensuring compliance, transparency, and strategic alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Drive transformation of accounting processes, systems, and team capabilities to enhance efficiency and scalability across global operations.
  • Provide enterprise-wide stewardship of accounting, financial reporting, and governance functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to shape accounting strategies aligned with organizational growth and innovation goals.
  • Lead ERP evaluation and migration initiatives to modernize accounting systems and processes, ensuring alignment with business needs.
  • Develop and mentor a high-performing global accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and professional growth.
  • Ensure compliance with global accounting policies and standards, including revenue recognition and statutory requirements.
  • Champion financial governance and risk management practices to support organizational integrity and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee global accounting operations, including general ledger, close, consolidation, and statutory reporting processes.
  • Redesign and modernize accounting workflows to support organizational scalability and operational effectiveness.
  • Develop and enforce global accounting policies to ensure compliance and consistency across all functions.
  • Lead ERP system evaluation, selection, and migration, ensuring seamless integration with business strategies.
  • Maintain a robust internal control environment and oversee financial reporting controls to ensure accuracy.
  • Collaborate with FP&A teams to provide actionable operational insights through comprehensive financial reporting.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, coordinating audit activities and ensuring compliance.
  • Mentor and develop accounting team members, fostering professional growth and accountability within the department.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years progressive experience in accounting or financial management roles.
  • Proven expertise in leading ERP system evaluations, migrations, and implementations.
  • Deep technical accounting knowledge and ability to apply standards in complex environments.
  • Strong judgment and discretion in handling sensitive financial information and decision-making.
  • Experience in media or advertising industries is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and sustain transformation initiatives within financial operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in presenting to senior stakeholders.
