Job Description

Overview

  • Lead and manage ICU, CSU, and Dialysis units to deliver exceptional patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, safety, and service excellence aligned with organizational values.
  • Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure optimal care delivery and budget compliance.
  • Develop and mentor nursing teams, promoting professional growth and high performance.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and evidence-based practices in all unit operations.
  • Address patient and staff concerns effectively to maintain satisfaction and trust.
  • Contribute to strategic hospital initiatives through active participation in leadership meetings.
  • Maintain compliance with CMS, Joint Commission, and other regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee ICU, CSU, and Dialysis units to ensure high-quality patient care and operational excellence.
  • Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and service excellence within the nursing staff.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and resources to optimize care delivery and meet budget goals.
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop nursing staff to build a skilled and engaged team.
  • Monitor patient flow, outcomes, and compliance with core measures and standards.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and implementation of evidence-based practices.
  • Address patient and employee concerns promptly and professionally to uphold satisfaction.
  • Contribute to hospital leadership meetings and strategic planning initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
  • Current RN license in the State of Texas is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing leadership experience; 5 years preferred.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications are required for this role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with regulatory standards.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential.
  • ARDCS or CCI certification preferred; bilingual skills are advantageous.
  • Experience in staffing optimization and budget management is highly desirable.
