Job Description

Overview

  • Support middle office and settlements functions within a dynamic alternative asset management environment.
  • Engage in the full trade lifecycle across structured credit and private lending strategies.
  • Collaborate with senior team members across trading, prime brokerage, and fund administration.
  • Develop foundational expertise in fund operations, trade settlement, and financial reporting.
  • Contribute to automation and workflow improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Serve as an internal resource for operational questions as team and fund complexity grows.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Settle trades for fixed income securities, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Perform daily cash and position reconciliations, resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Track and record fund expenses, coordinating allocations across funds and entities.
  • Liaise with fund administrators to support NAV preparation and review processes.
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close processes, including reporting and investor deliverables.
  • Investigate and resolve settlement breaks, failed trades, and counterparty discrepancies.
  • Identify inefficiencies in processes and contribute to automation initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in middle office, settlements, or operations preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Bloomberg or Geneva is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Foundational knowledge of structured credit or private lending is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative team-first attitude, contributing to a small, dynamic team.
