Overview

  • Lead financial operations for a dynamic financial services firm, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to drive strategic decision-making through comprehensive financial analysis and forecasting.
  • Manage fund accounting operations, partnering with external administrators for precise and timely reporting.
  • Oversee investor capital activities, ensuring transparency and accuracy throughout the investment lifecycle.
  • Enhance internal financial systems to support organizational growth and operational efficiency.
  • Lead audit and tax processes, coordinating with external advisors to ensure compliance and controlled year-end processes.
  • Support capital formation efforts by preparing detailed investor reporting materials and responding to due diligence requests.
  • Manage firm-wide cash operations, optimizing liquidity and coordinating across fund and corporate entities.
  • Establish and maintain accounting practices aligned with GAAP and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee fund accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely reporting with external administrators.
  • Lead audit and tax processes, serving as the primary contact for external advisors.
  • Drive internal financial reporting, liquidity management, and performance analytics for strategic planning.
  • Manage investor capital activities, including inflows, allocations, and distributions.
  • Prepare diligence and investor reporting materials to support capital formation efforts.
  • Enhance financial infrastructure, improving processes, controls, and systems for scalability.
  • Coordinate firm-wide cash operations, optimizing liquidity and cash deployment strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and industry standards in accounting practices.
  • Collaborate with Investor Relations and leadership to support strategic initiatives and investor engagement.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a Controller role; 15 years preferred.
  • Experience in private and public accounting; private credit or equity experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in managing investor relations and capital activities with large investor bases.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and industry compliance standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead audit and tax processes with external advisors.
  • Expertise in financial reporting, analytics, and liquidity management.
  • Comfortable working in a client-facing role, managing investor interactions.
  • Ability to work on-site five days a week in a dynamic environment.
