Job Description

Overview

  • Provide direct patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Assist providers with clinical services and administrative tasks, ensuring high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to support population health initiatives and best practices.
  • Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems for documentation and patient management.
  • Perform patient care functions such as vital signs, phlebotomy, and diagnostic screenings.
  • Ensure effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to healthcare regulations and policies.
  • Support campaigns and initiatives to improve patient outcomes and engagement.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Greet patients and guests warmly, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Manage patient flow and resolve registration, check-in, and check-out issues.
  • Schedule appointments accurately and verify insurance coverage.
  • Perform patient care tasks including vital signs, phlebotomy, and diagnostic screenings.
  • Document patient care information in EMR systems accurately and timely.
  • Coordinate referrals and follow-up appointments with specialists.
  • Assist with healthcare campaigns and outreach to at-risk patients.
  • Maintain professionalism and adhere to healthcare policies and procedures.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to a supportive work environment.

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or eligibility for certification.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an ambulatory care setting required.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems required.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and patient care protocols.
  • Ability to perform diagnostic screenings and patient care functions.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Flexibility to work varying hours between 8 AM and 6 PM.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and professionalism.
