Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Greet patients and guests warmly, ensuring a positive experience.
- Manage patient flow and resolve registration, check-in, and check-out issues.
- Schedule appointments accurately and verify insurance coverage.
- Perform patient care tasks including vital signs, phlebotomy, and diagnostic screenings.
- Document patient care information in EMR systems accurately and timely.
- Coordinate referrals and follow-up appointments with specialists.
- Assist with healthcare campaigns and outreach to at-risk patients.
- Maintain professionalism and adhere to healthcare policies and procedures.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a supportive work environment.
Job Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or eligibility for certification.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an ambulatory care setting required.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems required.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and patient care protocols.
- Ability to perform diagnostic screenings and patient care functions.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Flexibility to work varying hours between 8 AM and 6 PM.
