Job Description

Overview

  • Drive innovative design solutions for energy-focused projects, ensuring technical excellence and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to transform conceptual designs into actionable plans.
  • Lead design-build integration, aligning designs with construction methodologies and project logistics.
  • Act as the primary design authority during construction phases, ensuring adherence to approved documents.
  • Support preconstruction activities, including proposal development and conceptual design refinement.
  • Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and regulations while meeting project objectives.
  • Monitor design progress to meet budget and schedule constraints, mitigating risks proactively.
  • Maintain alignment between design intent, construction execution, and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead and oversee the design process for projects from inception to completion.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive and integrated designs.
  • Facilitate design workshops and stakeholder charrettes to refine project concepts.
  • Monitor design progress, ensuring alignment with project budgets and schedules.
  • Conduct design reviews, constructability analyses, and interdisciplinary coordination.
  • Support construction phase activities, resolving design-related issues and changes.
  • Assist in commissioning, testing, and project closeout activities.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations throughout project phases.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or related field.
  • 7-10+ years of experience in design development and construction support.
  • Proficiency in CAD/BIM platforms and familiarity with design standards.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, systems, and construction methodologies.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams in Design-Build environments.
  • Preferred certifications: Licensed Architect (RA), Professional Engineer (PE), DBIA certification.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to influence decision-making across multidisciplinary teams effectively.
