Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage daily operations of the Operating Room, optimizing case flow and resource allocation to ensure efficiency.
- Coordinate with surgical staff to uphold high standards of patient care and operational effectiveness.
- Monitor department performance metrics, implementing strategies for continuous improvement and excellence.
- Support charge nurses and team leads in addressing staffing and workflow challenges effectively.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance surgical outcomes and patient satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards within the surgical department.
- Participate in strategic planning initiatives to align departmental goals with organizational objectives.
- Provide leadership during urgent staffing situations, ensuring seamless department functionality and patient care.
Job Requirements
- Active RN license (eligible for licensure; prior RN licensure required).
- Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in hospital or ambulatory surgery settings.
- At least 2 years of Operating Room experience, including circulating experience.
- Associate of Science in Nursing or equivalent educational background.
- BLS certification required; CNOR certification preferred for enhanced qualifications.
- Proficiency in managing advanced surgical technology, including robotic systems.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills to oversee multi-specialty surgical operations.
