Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Manage daily operations of the Operating Room, optimizing case flow and resource allocation to ensure efficiency.
• Coordinate with surgical staff to uphold high standards of patient care and operational effectiveness.
• Monitor department performance metrics, implementing strategies for continuous improvement and excellence.
• Support charge nurses and team leads in addressing staffing and workflow challenges effectively.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance surgical outcomes and patient satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards within the surgical department.
• Participate in strategic planning initiatives to align departmental goals with organizational objectives.
• Provide leadership during urgent staffing situations, ensuring seamless department functionality and patient care.

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (eligible for licensure; prior RN licensure required).
• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in hospital or ambulatory surgery settings.
• At least 2 years of Operating Room experience, including circulating experience.
• Associate of Science in Nursing or equivalent educational background.
• BLS certification required; CNOR certification preferred for enhanced qualifications.
• Proficiency in managing advanced surgical technology, including robotic systems.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills to oversee multi-specialty surgical operations.
