Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Conduct fieldwork, analyze accounting data, and prepare comprehensive tax computations.
- Supervise R&D tax credit projects, ensuring adherence to federal and state regulations.
- Develop and present proposals for new business opportunities to expand client portfolio.
- Amend tax returns and ensure accurate documentation of findings and recommendations.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering professional development.
- Collaborate with leadership to enhance project outcomes and achieve strategic goals.
- Stay informed on tax laws and court cases relevant to R&D credits and incentives.
- Ensure timely completion of deliverables within budget constraints and quality standards.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
- 6-10 years of experience in R&D tax credits or related areas.
- CPA or JD/active attorney's license required.
- Strong understanding of federal and state R&D rules and tax return mechanics.
- Proven project management experience with ability to manage multiple engagements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective client interactions.
- Ability to travel to client sites and work additional hours as needed.
- Experience in industries such as technology, manufacturing, and hospitality is a plus.
