Overview

  • Manage R&D tax credit projects, providing strategic guidance and ensuring compliance with complex regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored tax solutions for diverse industries.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct fieldwork, analyze accounting data, and prepare comprehensive tax computations.
  • Supervise R&D tax credit projects, ensuring adherence to federal and state regulations.
  • Develop and present proposals for new business opportunities to expand client portfolio.
  • Amend tax returns and ensure accurate documentation of findings and recommendations.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering professional development.
  • Collaborate with leadership to enhance project outcomes and achieve strategic goals.
  • Stay informed on tax laws and court cases relevant to R&D credits and incentives.
  • Ensure timely completion of deliverables within budget constraints and quality standards.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
  • 6-10 years of experience in R&D tax credits or related areas.
  • CPA or JD/active attorney's license required.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state R&D rules and tax return mechanics.
  • Proven project management experience with ability to manage multiple engagements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective client interactions.
  • Ability to travel to client sites and work additional hours as needed.
  • Experience in industries such as technology, manufacturing, and hospitality is a plus.
