Job Description

Overview

  • Lead international tax compliance and planning for a dynamic organization, ensuring adherence to global regulations and optimizing strategies for multinational clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide expert guidance on complex international tax matters and foster strong client relationships.
  • Prepare and review detailed tax filings, including corporate, partnership, trust, and individual returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct in-depth research on evolving tax laws, providing actionable insights and staying ahead of industry changes.
  • Mentor and train junior staff and interns, promoting professional growth and enhancing team capabilities.
  • Advise multinational clients on strategic tax planning decisions, addressing global considerations effectively.
  • Contribute to firm visibility through marketing initiatives and client engagement activities.
  • Develop presentations and memos showcasing expertise in international and domestic tax strategies.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and review tax returns for corporations, partnerships, trusts, and individuals, ensuring compliance with international regulations.
  • Analyze complex tax scenarios, including E&P studies, GILTI, Subpart F, FDII, PTEP, BEAT, and FTC, to optimize strategies.
  • Complete and review international tax compliance forms such as 5471, 5472, 8858, 8865, 926, and 1118.
  • Address tax notices and correspond with authorities, resolving compliance issues effectively.
  • Provide strategic advice to clients, anticipating global tax implications and planning considerations.
  • Stay informed about changes in U.S. international tax laws and apply updates to engagements.
  • Draft detailed memos and presentations for tax planning initiatives, showcasing expertise.
  • Collaborate with managers, global tax directors, and partners to foster teamwork and knowledge sharing.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field required; CPA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of tax experience; 7 years preferred, with international client engagements.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of international and domestic tax rules and provisions.
  • Proficiency in international tax reporting obligations and compliance forms.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills to manage multiple engagements effectively.
  • Ability to conduct thorough tax research and present findings clearly.
  • Experience mentoring and training staff, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Commitment to providing superior client service and building lasting relationships.
