Job Description

Overview

  • Contribute to a dynamic tax team, preparing and reviewing diverse tax returns with precision and compliance.
  • Engage in international tax research and ensure adherence to global regulations and standards.
  • Supervise and mentor tax professionals, fostering their growth and enhancing team performance.
  • Support client accounting functions, including tax accruals and general ledger classifications.
  • Respond to regulatory inquiries and assist in federal and state audits.
  • Participate in firm marketing initiatives to strengthen client relationships and business development.
  • Collaborate independently and within teams to deliver accurate tax projections and filings.
  • Utilize advanced organizational skills to manage multiple engagements effectively.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and review corporate, partnership, trust, and individual income tax returns with accuracy.
  • Conduct in-depth research to address complex client tax issues and inquiries.
  • Plan and oversee tax engagements, ensuring timely and efficient completion.
  • Collaborate with domestic and international firms on tax-related matters.
  • Provide audit support and respond to inquiries from regulatory agencies.
  • Utilize tax preparation software to streamline processes and enhance accuracy.
  • Mentor and guide tax staff professionals and interns to develop their expertise.
  • Engage in marketing activities to promote firm services and client satisfaction.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of tax experience, preferably in a dynamic environment.
  • CPA license required; familiarity with Axcess and XCM software preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle concurrent engagements.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • Problem-solving abilities to develop solutions using research and reasoning.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to client locations as required.
