Overview

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures ensuring accurate imaging and patient safety in a dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Support fluoroscopic procedures and maintain clean, organized radiographic rooms for optimal workflow.
  • Assess patient conditions, ensuring proper positioning and safe transfer techniques during imaging sessions.
  • Adhere to ALARA principles and infection control policies to minimize radiation exposure risks.
  • Complete requisitions accurately, verifying patient identity and exam details for seamless operations.
  • Maintain thorough records and perform quality assurance tasks to uphold high standards.
  • Operate diagnostic radiographic equipment, promptly reporting malfunctions to ensure continuous service.
  • Provide clinical instruction and supervision to student radiographers, fostering their professional growth.
  • Engage in continuing education to maintain professional competency and certification compliance.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform routine radiographic procedures across various hospital departments, ensuring high-quality imaging results.
  • Assist with fluoroscopic procedures, prioritizing patient safety and comfort throughout.

Job Requirements

  • Graduation from an American Medical Association-approved Radiologic Technology program required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a Staff Radiologic Technologist preferred.
  • Current licensure in Radiologic Technology required; ARRT certification preferred.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required for patient safety.
  • Strong communication and time management skills to ensure effective operations.
  • Proficiency in basic computer and data entry tasks for accurate record-keeping.
  • Commitment to maintaining professional competency through education and certification.
  • Ability to work on-site in a hospital environment, adhering to operational standards.
