Overview

• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures ensuring accurate imaging and patient safety in a dynamic healthcare environment.

• Operate diagnostic radiographic equipment, promptly reporting malfunctions to ensure continuous service.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Perform routine radiographic procedures across various hospital departments, ensuring high-quality imaging results.
• Assist with fluoroscopic procedures, prioritizing patient safety and comfort throughout.
• Ensure proper patient positioning and immobilization to achieve optimal imaging outcomes.
• Follow hospital policies to promote safety and minimize radiation exposure risks.
• Verify patient identity and exam details to ensure accurate and efficient imaging processes.
• Maintain accurate records and perform quality assurance tasks to uphold operational standards.
• Operate diagnostic radiographic equipment, promptly addressing any technical issues.
• Provide guidance and supervision to student radiographers during their clinical instruction.
• Stay informed on industry standards and certifications through ongoing education and training.

Job Requirements

• Graduation from an American Medical Association-approved Radiologic Technology program required.
• Minimum of two years of experience as a Staff Radiologic Technologist preferred.
• Current licensure in Radiologic Technology required; ARRT certification preferred.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required for patient safety.
• Strong communication and time management skills to ensure effective operations.
• Proficiency in basic computer and data entry tasks for accurate record-keeping.
• Commitment to maintaining professional competency through education and certification.
• Ability to work on-site in a hospital environment, adhering to operational standards.
